As you know, I grew up on this stuff. My mom would mix it up at bedtime and then stick it in the oven overnight where the pilot light would keep it semi-warm until morning. Then she'd serve it up for breakfast. Warm yogurt. Those were dark days. Maybe it's time for me to shake off those memories and try it again... chilled.

I have always wanted to make yogurt, but it seems so scary! I really don't know why, everyone who does it says it's really easy... The way you explained it seems easy enough though, and thanks for giving tips on how to keep the temp constant. My son uses yogurt to take his pills in the morning, so this would save a ton of money!

Home made yogurt is the best! I make mine every week, and I just put it on my propane fireplace, the pilot light is perfectly warm and it sets the yogurt in a matter of 3-4 hours! your recipe for ginger ale is good too!
