		<description>Thanks for reading. I store winter squash and potatoes in the basement on a single layer. They seems to last, though you do have to check (look for soft spots). I had an acorn squash go bad on me the other day.</description>

		<description>Thanks for the link to this book—I&#039;m going to find it at my library asap. I got a winter CSA this year and it&#039;s far more winter veggies than I&#039;m used to getting at once. I&#039;m thinking maybe stackable plastic crates in the basement might be a good way to go for a lot of them; that way they&#039;d be separated into single layers and get decent ventilation. What do you think?</description>
